DC Impact
US Military Spec Ops Impact Wrench
Most Extreme Performance - Rated at 450 ft-lb max, achieved 421 ft-lb stock, scaled up to 1,023 ft-lb with extreme voltage modifications. Features rare twin hammer mechanism typically found only in air tools. Weighs 9.5 lbs, comes with 20.5 lb battery case. Motor rated for 30 amps at 12V but can draw up to 625 amps in bursts.
DeWalt
DCF964 3/4 inch Impact Wrench
Used as weight comparison reference - military impact is heavier than DCF964 with battery attached. Modern cordless impact for comparison.
Milwaukee
M18 Mid Torque Impact Wrench
Used for comparison testing at 12V. Performance was close to M12 Gen 2 Stubby, suggesting Milwaukee should update this model soon.
Milwaukee
M12 Gen 2 Stubby Impact Wrench
12V impact used for comparison. Performance surprisingly close to M18 mid torque despite size difference.
Milwaukee
M18 HD 12.0 Forge Battery
Milwaukee's largest and most expensive M18 battery. Failed during extreme testing - got stuck flashing one bar and couldn't be reset with charger. Battery management system cut out due to extreme amp draw.
Hercules
12 Amp Hour Battery
High power Samsung 30T 21700 cells with less restrictive BMS. Delivered 655 ft-lb without cutting out but eventually led to increased resistance due to heat. Good for about 1,800 watts (95-100 amps).
