Best Overall - Reached 1053 inch pounds of torque before losing grip, over 300 inch pounds more than second place. Cut through 16 penny nail at 173 inch pounds. Applied death grip at 209 inch pounds (25% more than second place). Came out on top at 206 inch pounds in socket extension test. Adjustment screw broke at impressive 593 inch pounds.

Best Overall - Ripped through grade 8 bolt like hot knife through butter, making fastest cut in only 9.8 seconds. Created notch in 5/16 inch mild steel in 10.8 seconds, finished third. Made cut in hard tool steel in 27.1 seconds. Performed very well at 8.25 millimeters on AR-400 hard steel.

Best Value - Did amazing job with water beading better than all other brands. Seemed unfazed by strip wash while other coatings were hurt. Continued to bead nicely after iron remover and tire/wheel cleaner. Was clear winner after industrial degreaser test. Least expensive product tested but did best job protecting car's paint finish.

Best Value - Very affordable at $70 compared to $1100 Wicked Edge system. Extremely quick and easy to set up. Sharpened knife edge to 95, sharper than new knife. Almost performed as well as Wicked Edge (85). Maintained sharp edge at 135 after 30 passes, outperforming more expensive brands.

Best Overall - Did terrific job gripping and removing completely rounded bolt with reverse spiral flutes. Designed to be used with impact tools. Outlasted the bolt in seized bolt test without showing visible wear. Cost less than more expensive competition.

Trim Coat Plastic Restoration
Best Overall - Still looked as good as new after 5 days of intense sunlight and UV exposure. Did best job preventing dust accumulation with hard smooth coating. Held up really well after strip wash, bug and tar remover, and powerful degreaser. Came out on top for UV protection.

Torque Wrench
Best Overall - Most consistent with standard deviation of only 0.34 foot-pounds at 50 foot-pounds. Completed all 30 measurements within plus/minus 4% tolerance. Came closest to averaging 150 foot-pounds at 151.17. Stayed within 4% accuracy range after 1000 cycles. Best swing arc at 15.6 degrees.

Vintage Adjustable Wrench
Best Vintage - Finished third in first test but built like a tank. Worm gear and jaws refused to flex under pressure. Half inch grade 8 bolt snapped at 184.4 foot pounds. Had smallest gap at only 0.55 millimeters under 200 pounds pressure. Outperformed imported Craftsman.
Channel Lock
Lineman's Pliers
Best Value - Performed very well in gripping test at 9 inch pounds. Cut through 14 gauge wire at only 25 pounds. Beat competition cutting 16 penny nail at 66 pounds. Cut screws at only 104 pounds. Cutting knives held up very well. Great performance under $30.
Benchmade
Folding Knife
Best Overall - Extremely sharp out of box with sharpness score of 155, sharpest of all knives tested. Easy on fingers at 356 grams unlock pressure. Smooth opening requiring zero grams pressure. Only gave up 10 points after 100 passes, finishing second. High quality steel losing only 10 sharpness points, tied for second at 120. Survived drop test.
